Masked Home Invasion Turns Fatal in Vacoas

Selven Ianpermal, a 32-year-old resident of La Caverne, Vacoas, died in the early hours of Wednesday, October 28, following a brutal assault by masked intruders in his home. Police records show that six hooded individuals armed with telescopic batons, a sabre, and a baseball bat forced entry into the residence late Tuesday evening at around 8 p.m., demanding money before severely beating the victim across his body.

Six Attackers Break into House and Assault Men

The sequence of events began when Ianpermal and a 32-year-old friend heard a commotion outside the property. The group of six attackers broke into the house, cornered Ianpermal, and unleashed a barrage of blows with their weapons while demanding cash. A second man inside the home attempted to intervene and rescue his friend from the onslaught. The intruders turned on him, injuring him as well before fleeing, law enforcement officials stated.

Ianpermal Dies in Intensive Care After Attack

Emergency services rushed both injured men to the hospital in the wake of the late-night attack. Hospital staff admitted Ianpermal directly to the intensive care unit and placed him on life support. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 6 a.m. on Wednesday. In response, police arranged an autopsy to establish the exact medical cause of death.
