The tournament’s quarterfinal round produced high-scoring affairs and intense defensive battles across multiple matchups. In the opener against BC Somava, the gendarmes established control early after a tip-off at 13:58 local time. Following an initial score by Somava, Fiary leveled the match before the GNBC side surged ahead 8-2 and then 12-2 within a three-minute span, as L’Express de Madagascar detailed.
GNBC Secures Semifinal Berth Against BC Somava
By the midpoint of the opening quarter, the GNBC held a 16-3 advantage. Danz contributed a three-point shot immediately upon entering the game, stretching the lead to 21-5. The gendarmes finished the first period ahead 28-11. Somava struggled to find an offensive rhythm against aggressive defensive pressure, though players from the Sava region continued fighting to draw applause from the spectators.

Scoring contributions from Fiary and Cédric kept the margin wide during the second quarter. With five minutes and thirty seconds remaining until halftime, the gap reached twenty-four points at 41-17. A dunk by John capped off the first half, sending the gendarmes into the locker room ahead 54-30. Although Somava narrowed the deficit to fourteen points at 75-61 in the second half, the GNBC restored separation, with Danz hitting another three-pointer to secure a 92-70 final score.
Boeny Region Claims Multiple Final Four Spots
The final four field features strong representation from the Boeny region. BCB Boeny booked its place by defeating MBC 72-60. The team features German player Adrien Breitlauch on its roster. Meanwhile, RBC Boeny advanced by overcoming COSFA 74-61, setting up a clash with the GNBC.
RBC Boeny previously defeated the gendarmes during the group phase of the tournament.
COSPN Survives Overtime to Keep Title Defense Alive
Defending champion COSPN had to beat ASCUT in a tense quarterfinal to keep its championship hopes alive. The police squad remained tied 60-60 with ASCUT at the end of regulation time. COSPN capitalized during a five-minute overtime period to pull away with a 70-66 victory.
