Leo Vivas won bronze at the Argentine Youth Archery Cup

Leo Ezequiel Vivas secured a bronze medal for Club Tiro y Gimsania in the under-21 recurve division at the Argentine Youth Archery Cup, finishing third in the opening qualification round before advancing through the elimination brackets at the Sociedad Rural venue in Villa María.

Bronze Medal in the Under-21 Recurvo Category at Villa María

Leo Ezequiel Vivas captured the bronze medal in the Recurvo Sub-21 category during the Copa Argentina Juvenil de Arquería held from October 10 to 12. Representing Club Tiro y Gimnasia, the San Francisco archer competed across the 70-meter distance during the three-day national tournament hosted at the Sociedad Rural de Villa María in Córdoba Province.

The competition brought together more than 80 young archers from across Argentina to contest national titles in the U15, U18, and U21 age brackets for both compound and recurve bow disciplines, alongside dedicated introductory categories.

Qualification Rounds and Elimination Brackets

Vivas established an early footing in the tournament by finishing third in the initial qualification ranking round. That strong opening performance earned him favorable seeding and high expectations as he entered the head-to-head elimination phases.

After navigating the demanding elimination rounds, the Club Tiro y Gimnasia competitor advanced to the finals stage of the 70-meter competition, ultimately securing a place on the podium with the bronze medal.

Growth in National Youth Competitions

This tournament marked the second time Vivas has competed in a national youth archery championship. The podium finish adds another notable result to the sport’s growing footprint in San Francisco, reflecting continued development within national-level youth circuits.
