Football Benchmark Valuation Update Places Lamine Yamal at 2.922亿欧元
Lamine Yamal leads the September 2026 player valuation update from Football Benchmark, claiming the world’s top spot at 2.922亿欧元 while outpacing Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland by wide margins. The data platform released its latest figures on September 24, evaluating the top ten players across four European leagues and seven clubs.
Barça and Real Madrid Lead the Global Valuation Standings
The updated valuations highlight a heavy concentration of top-tier market value within Spain’s two largest clubs. Real Madrid places three players inside the top ten, while Barcelona secures two spots, meaning La Liga giants account for half of the entire elite list. Kylian Mbappé takes second place at 2.299亿欧元, and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland sits third at 2.076亿欧元. Behind them, Bayern Munich’s Michael Oliše reaches fourth at 1.789亿欧元, followed by Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham at 1.700亿欧元.
The Gap Between the Top Spot and the Chase Pack
The most striking element of the September update is the sheer distance between Yamal and the rest of the world. The Barcelona teenager holds a 6230万欧元 advantage over Mbappé, representing a valuation roughly 27 percent higher than the second-place Frenchman. Compared to Haaland, Yamal’s lead stretches to 8460万欧元. Together, the top three players account for 7.297亿欧元—roughly 41.8 percent of the 17.476亿欧元 total valuation for all ten players combined.
Tight Competition Defines the Lower Half of the Top Ten
Once the standings move past the top three, the gap between players narrows sharply. Oliše sits 2870万欧元 behind Haaland in fourth, but from fourth place down to tenth, the total spread across all seven spots is just 5420万欧元. That entire span is smaller than the gap between Yamal and Mbappé alone.
Model Estimates Versus Real-World Transfer Markets
Football Benchmark notes that these theoretical valuations do not reflect immediate market transfer fees or personal awards. Actual transfer transactions depend on club finances, contract negotiations, release clauses, and timing within the transfer window. While Premier League clubs collectively hold a total squad valuation of 141亿欧元—more than double La Liga’s 66亿欧元 total—the individual asset concentration remains highest among Madrid and Barcelona.
