Wiener Sport-Club Loses Ground After Seven-Goal Thriller Against Kremser SC

Wiener Sport-Club dropped crucial points in the race for the Regionalliga Ost summit on Saturday, falling 3-4 to Kremser SC in the 10th round of the league campaign.

Early Strikes and Rapid Response Define First Half

Kremser SC seized control early at the venue, opening the scoring in the tenth minute through Starkl. Just two minutes later, Yilmaz doubled the visitors’ advantage to 2-0. Despite the early shock, the Black and Whites responded swiftly. Wunsch halved the deficit in the 18th minute, and Keles leveled the score at 2-2 in the 23rd minute. The parity lasted only moments, however, as Alexiev restored Krems‘ lead at 3-2 in the 26th minute.

Late Equalizer Undone by Starkl Winner

Wiener Sport-Club continued to chase the match through the second half, and their persistence appeared rewarded in the 68th minute when Keles netted his second goal of the afternoon to make it 3-3. Yet, the visitors secured all three points roughly ten minutes later when Starkl converted his second goal of the match, sealing a 4-3 victory for Kremser SC.
