Winter Training Camp Schedule and Dojo Activities at Judozentrum Krems

Judozentrum Krems reported an active start to the sporting year with multiple training camps, advanced coaching courses, and youth development sessions across Austria. Led by Michaela Maier, the club’s athletes participated in foundational sessions locally and high-level national camps during the early January holiday period. The schedule opened on January 2 with regional youth training and extended into specialized preparation for upcoming national and international tournaments.

Olympic Training Camp Participation in Mittersill

Michaela Maier completed the third segment of her specialized judo trainer training from January 9 to 10 at the Olympic Training Camp in Mittersill, according to Judozentrum Krems records. Mittersill stands as a premier international destination for judo preparation, drawing 1,011 athletes from 49 nations for this year’s sessions. Participants completed up to four training sessions per day across a demanding 25-session program that featured numerous Olympic and world champions on the mat.

Holiday Training Camps in Wimpassing and Linz

Seven Kremser athletes traveled to Wimpassing for the Epiphany training camp from January 3 to 5 under the supervision of Michaela Maier. The program combined daily judo sessions, morning conditioning, and athletic performance testing with recreational activities including a games Olympics, a cinema visit, and a cup-ball tournament. Simultaneously, a delegation of Kremser judoka attended the New Year training camp at the OÖ Olympic Center on the Linz Gugl from January 2 to 4. That camp provided an early baseline assessment of training status and featured technical units directed by guest trainer Lukas Krpalek, a two-time Olympic champion and world champion from the Czech Republic, as documented by Judozentrum Krems.

Children Combine Club Training with Dojo Cinema Night

Children from all training groups gathered for the first combined club training session of the year on Saturday, January 17. Following the physical workouts on the tatami, the club hosted a cozy cinema evening inside the dojo for the participating youth. Judozentrum Krems noted that the social event successfully rounded out the opening weeks of the winter schedule and set a positive tone for upcoming club practices.
