Jimena Giletta completes international World Archery Level 2 course

San Francisco archery coach Jimena Giletta has been selected as one of only two Argentine women to complete the World Archery Level 2 coaching certification course held in Rosario, Santa Fe. The international training program ran from September 27 to October 1, 2026, bringing together Spanish-speaking specialists from across South America.

Rosario Hosts International Archery Certification

The specialized coaching course took place under the Olympic Solidarity program, backed by the Argentine Olympic Committee, World Archery, World Archery Americas, and the Argentine Archery Federation, known as FATARCO. Sessions ran daily at the Santa Fe venue, focusing on high-performance athlete development and advanced coaching methodologies for Spanish-speaking instructors from nations including Chile, Venezuela, and El Salvador.

Santiago Avitia Martínez Leads Technical Sessions

Mexican coach and World Archery-accredited instructor Santiago Avitia Martínez directed the curriculum. Training blocks combined rigorous theoretical study with practical on-field application, covering technical processes, biomechanics, equipment tuning, training planning, and sports psychology applied directly to competitive archery.

Rigorous Selection Criteria for Argentine Coaches

Enrollment capacity for the Level 2 program remained strictly limited, with participants chosen based on individual coaching credentials and professional background. Out of the entire province of Córdoba, organizers selected only three coaches. One of those selected is a member of the official national team technical staff, while Giletta secured her place as one of just two female coaches representing Argentina.

San Francisco School Expands Local Training

Following her certification in Rosario, Giletta plans to integrate these advanced biomechanical and planning tools into daily instruction at the San Francisco archery school. Local classes continue every Saturday from 15:00 to 16:30 local time, offering community members structured access to the sport under certified instruction.
