Jasmin Herren builds new life running cosmetics studio

Jasmin Herren is building a new existence in the Westerwald region, operating a cosmetics studio six days a week after facing 400,000 euros in debt following the death of her husband, Willi Herren, t-online reported. The reality television personality and singer moved to a town of roughly 9,000 residents in Rhineland-Palatinate, shifting away from her previous public career at the Ballermann party scene and reality shows.

Debt Settlement and the Path to Private Insolvency

The financial strain began after Willi Herren died in April 2021. To manage the crisis, she filed for private insolvency in 2024. A court erased a major portion of those financial liabilities in 2025. The insolvency proceeding remains active and is scheduled to conclude in 2027.

During this legal process, Herren earns a monthly salary of 1,500 euros.

Returning to Medical Cosmetics in Wissen

Leaving major entertainment hubs behind, Herren established her own cosmetics studio in the Westerwald town of Wissen. She completed training as a medical aesthetician back in 2003 before her music and television career took off, focus.de reported. After updating her credentials with additional training and gaining practical experience at a salon in Leverkusen, she returned to her original profession.

Herren personally treated 394 clients during her first year of business, offering medical foot care, sugaring, waxing, microneedling, anti-aging treatments, and acne care. Seven women work mostly independently inside her studio, and Herren plans to expand the operation. “Music and television are only a hobby anymore. I’ve never been as free as I am now.” Her mother, Anna, provided financial support for the venture by purchasing the property that houses the studio.

Living Arrangements in Rheinland-Pfalz

Herren shares her daily life with her partner, Philipp, who is 21 years younger than she is. Philipp studies and works part-time as a tutor. The couple lives rent-free in a 90-square-meter apartment equipped with a garden and a sauna located on the property belonging to Philipp’s parents.

She maintains that a full-time return to the entertainment industry is out of the question as she focuses on running her salon six days a week.

Questions Remaining in the Insolvency Timeline

While the court system cleared a substantial share of her liabilities in 2025, questions remain regarding the final distribution of assets under her ongoing insolvency plan. The legal framework overseeing her debts is scheduled to wrap up in 2027, which will determine the final resolution of the remaining claims stemming from Willi Herren’s insolvent company.
