The Italian Para-Archery Championships opened in Martinsicuro with the first day of competition setting the absolute finalists across the recurve, compound, W1, and visually impaired divisions. Competition at the venue established the class titles and set up the head-to-head matches for the tricolore titles on the following day.

Absolute Finalists Set in Recurve and Compound

Defending champion Elisabetta Mijno of Arcieri delle Alpi will face Vincenza Petrilli of Fiamme Oro in the women’s recurve final for the absolute gold medal. The match for the bronze medal in the same division pairs Silvia Savo of Arco Club Pontino against Elisabetta Petris of Arcieri Cormons. In the men’s recurve division, Stefano Travisani of GSPD advances to the tricolore match against Davide Bettoni of Fiamme Gialle, while outgoing champion Giuseppe Verzini of Arcieri Cormons meets Gabriel De Toffoli of Arcieri Dekl Piave.

In the women’s compound division, Irene Picci of Arcieri Padovani meets Maria Andrea Virgilio of Fiamme Azzurre for the gold medal, with Gloria Lorenzetti of Arcieri Decumanus Maximus and Letizia Visintini of Arcieri Cormons contesting the bronze. Compound and Recurve Teams Battle for Finals

The compound men’s team semifinals feature P.H.B. represented by Schieda and Cancelli against Arcieri Padovani represented by Migailo and Saccoman, alongside Frecce Azzurre featuring Addio and Contemi against Kosmos Rovereto featuring Powroznik and Seneca. In the mixed team recurve event, Arcieri delle Alpi featuring Mijno and Boaglio wait in the final for the winner of the semifinal between Arcieri Ugo di Toscana featuring Popelishvili and Dolfi and Arcieri Cormons featuring Petris and Verzini.

Class title competitions concluded alongside the qualifiers. In the men’s recurve, Stefano Travisani of GSPD took first place with 632 points, followed by Davide Bettoni of Fiamme Gialle with 595 points and Giuseppe Verzini of Arcieri Cormons with 562 points. Elisabetta Mijno of Arcieri delle Alpi led the senior women’s recurve with 637 points, ahead of Vincenza Petrilli of Fiamme Oro with 579 points and Silvia Savo of Arco Club Pontino with 506 points. Gabriel De Toffoli of Arcieri del Piave won the junior men’s class with 538 points, while Elisabetta Petris led the junior women with 532 points.

Irene Picci of Arcieri Padovani won the women’s class with 662 points, followed by Maria Andrea Virgilio of Fiamme Azzurre with 656 points and Letizia Visintini of Arcieri Cormons with 621 points. In the junior compound class, Riccardo Giuseppe Bruno of Arcieri M.A.sf. finished first with 596 points, ahead of Gabriele Saccoman with 579 points and Gabriele Pintus with 565 points, while Leonardo D’Angelo of Frecce Azzurre led the youth division with 635 points.

In the W1 classification, Paolo Tonon led the GSPD men’s podium with 653 points, teammate Maurizio Panella took second with 621 points, and Francesco Maria Sorato placed third with 600 points. Dalia Dameno of Arcieri Ugo di Toscana claimed the women’s W1 gold with 597 points, ahead of Simona Caprari with 530 points and Angela Procida with 498 points. Matteo Panariello of Arcieri Livornesi won the Visually Impaired 1 title with 430 points, ahead of Maria Salaris with 302 points and Barbara Contini with 276 points.
