Isabelle N’Guyen has claimed her two French archery championship titles, capping a competitive arc that spans years of regional and international tournaments, Linfo.re reported. The archer secured her latest national crown in 2025, adding to her first French championship victory earned in 2016.
Two Decades of Precision Training
The journey began 20 years ago when N’Guyen first picked up an arc at a local forum. What started as casual curiosity quickly transformed into a lasting athletic pursuit. Since her first official competition in 2009, she has maintained a rigorous training schedule focused on release mechanics, breath control, and precise groupings.
During a typical training session, N’Guyen works through volleys of nine arrows, directing intense concentration toward the center of the target. She emphasizes the psychological shift required between practice and competition. When shooting in tournaments, athletes rely on established mechanics rather than attempting to fix fundamental flaws on the fly.
You do what you know how to do, you don’t try to fine-tune what you don’t know how to do, or not correctly.”
N’Guyen Wins Medals at International Open Events
Beyond domestic events, N’Guyen has tested her skills across international stages. In 2023, she traveled to secure a victory at the African Open. Three years later, at the Abu Dhabi Open Masters, she captured two gold medals, dominating distances of 18, 50, and 60 meters.
Her competitive philosophy centers on continuous participation and resilience. She maintains that the only true failure is refusing to try. Unfazed by the timeline of her career, N’Guyen approaches each season without self-imposed expiration dates.
“I have no limit,” N’Guyen stated. “I take each day as it comes. This can stop next year or in 10 years, I don’t know and I don’t ask myself the question. As long as I can, I do it.”
The March 2027 French Championships Horizon
With her sights set on the next major domestic competition, N’Guyen is already preparing for the French championships scheduled for March 2027. The upcoming tournament represents another opportunity to refine her groupings and test her competitive focus.
