Hue City Tournament Draws 477 Athletes Across Three Sports
The competition brought together 477 athletes representing 35 different agencies, units, and businesses operating both within and outside the Party Committee of the Hue City People’s Committee. Participants tested their skills across three distinct sports: badminton, table tennis, and pickleball. The events featured men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles categories, while table tennis also included men’s and women’s singles brackets.
Organization committees structured the events into age groups to accommodate the broad field of participants. Doubles competitions for cadres were split into athletes aged 45 and older and those 44 and younger. Meanwhile, brackets for department heads, deputy heads, and general staff members were divided into competitors aged 41 and older and those 40 and younger. The organizing committee plans to award individual, doubles, and team prizes based on the final match results.
City Leaders Open the Multi-Sport Competition at Two Venues

Annual Event Promotes Physical Fitness and Workplace Wellness
Organized on an annual basis, the tournament aims to provide a beneficial recreational outlet designed to improve the health and overall well-being of local workers and civil servants following their daily office hours. Officials noted the tournament serves as a concrete response to the nationwide “All People Exercise Following the Example of Great President Ho Chi Minh” movement. The competition also acts as a lead-up athletic showcase ahead of the 10th National Games and various other upcoming cultural and sporting events scheduled throughout the city.
