Dennis Schröder and Moritz Wagner Take the Floor
Dennis Schröder made his first appearance in a Hornets uniform following an August trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers, marking the twelfth franchise of his career. The 33-year-old guard logged five points, two assists, and one steal in 15 minutes, converting his lone three-point attempt. Schröder previously stated his intention to mentor his young compatriot through the inevitable highs and lows of a rookie campaign.
On the opposing side, Moritz Wagner contributed five points, five assists, and four rebounds in 18 minutes of action for the Brooklyn Nets. Christian Anderson Jr., the third German player on the Charlotte roster, missed the contest due to an ankle injury.

Steinbach arrived in the NBA following a standout collegiate season at the University of Washington after developing through the youth ranks of the Würzburg Baskets. He is the son of former Würzburg Bundesliga player Burkhard Steinbach. During his NCAA Division I season in 2025, Steinbach averaged 18.5 points and 11.8 rebounds per contest, finishing the year as the top rebounder in the division.
