Members gathered under the temporary chairmanship of Eşref Alaçayır, who was elected divan chairman to oversee the sessions. The assembly’s agenda centers on evaluating the financial and operational activities spanning from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026.

Delegates Review Reports and Vote on Board Discharge

Delegates at the assembly will review the official activity report covering the 2025-2026 operational calendar, alongside the corresponding auditing board report. Separate discharge votes will be held for both the executive management board and the auditing board regarding their governance during the specified period.

Dursun Özbek Targets Five Consecutive Süper Lig Titles

Club President Dursun Özbek addressed the general assembly by laying out ambitious sporting goals for the 2026-2027 campaign, targeting a historic fifth Süper Lig title alongside a deeper run in European competition. Champions League Revenues Propel European Financial Standing

Galatasaray generated 63 milyon euro from its recent UEFA Champions League campaign, President Özbek announced to the assembly. UEFA’s annual European Club Finance and Investment Report ranks Galatasaray 23rd in total revenue among 1500 professional clubs across the continent, with ticket sales and retail operations placing even higher in specific categories.

Özbek noted that stadium renovations improved fan matchday experiences while increasing advertisement and executive box revenues, placing Galatasaray among Europe’s prominent revenue-generating clubs.

Amateur Branch Expansions and Real Estate Projects

Beyond football, Özbek updated club members on infrastructural developments and multi-sport operations, including ongoing discussions with NBA executives and investors regarding the prospective NBA Europe project for the men’s basketball team. The Aslantepe Project aims to house basketball, voleyball, and other amateur branches under a single roof. Across the 2025-2026 season, Galatasaray’s 2 bin 89 athletes secured 102 trophies and bin 84 medals across various disciplines, while the women’s volleyball squad captured the CEV Cup without a single defeat.

The women’s basketball team achieved success by reaching the finals in both the EuroLeague and the Turkish League last season, while the wheelchair basketball team set out with a championship target. The men’s volleyball team repeated its feat of reaching the Efeler Ligi final after 32 years and also played in the Kupa Voley final. Addressing the new Süper Lig broadcasting tender, Özbek stated that it carries vital importance for all football clubs, noting that he continues to follow the process closely as Galatasaray’s representative in the tender commission formed by the Clubs Union and the TFF. Özbek also shared that he held a meeting with UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, who thanked Galatasaray and deemed the club’s recent investments in facilities and team composition very significant.
