Gabriel Deck will miss at least Real Madrid’s next two games due to left shoulder discomfort, Eurohoops reported. The Argentine forward experienced renewed issues with the joint after picking up an injury while playing for the Argentina national team, forcing club medical staff to sideline him for upcoming contests in the Euroleague and Liga Endesa.
Real Madrid coach Pedro Martínez confirmed the absence during a pre-match press conference ahead of the club’s continental fixture. The team’s medical department halted Deck’s training schedule to evaluate the extent of the joint damage.
Euroleague and Liga Endesa Absences Confirmed
The forward will sit out Thursday’s Euroleague match against Partizan and Sunday’s domestic league fixture against Kids & Us Manresa. Martínez stated that the club is waiting on diagnostic tests scheduled to determine the exact timeline for his recovery.

“Gaby Deck ayer tuvo una lesión,” Martínez told reporters. “No va a jugar esta semana seguro; ni el partido de mañana ni el partido del fin de semana, y estamos a expensas de unas pruebas que le harán hoy o mañana para saber el alcance real y cuánto tiempo estará fuera.”
National Team Duty Triggers Recurring Shoulder Trouble
The current physical setback stems from international competition during the FIBA window held between late August and early September. Deck explained that his left shoulder dislocated during Argentina’s opening match against Puerto Rico. Despite the initial trauma, he returned to the floor for a subsequent game against Canada, where the joint suffered additional impact and aggravation.
The ongoing joint instability has affected Deck’s availability. The forward previously missed squad selection alongside teammate Facundo Campazzo for a domestic fixture against Monbús Obradoiro.
Medical Tests Will Determine Recovery Timeline
Real Madrid’s medical staff intervened to stop the player from participating in team practices while awaiting clinical evaluations. Martínez indicated that initial impressions from the technical staff remain cautious until formal diagnostic imaging provides definitive answers regarding a potential recovery schedule.
“No parece que sea algo… Pero no me quiero adelantar a los acontecimientos,” Martínez said. “En un principio le van a hacer pruebas y sabremos. Lo que es seguro es que esta semana los servicios médicos del club lo han parado.”
Fixture Pressure Mounts During Slow Start
Real Madrid secured the Euroleague Super Cup title to begin the campaign, but stumbled to an 0-3 record in continental play alongside narrow victories in the domestic championship.
Pedro Martínez continues to lean on the remainder of his roster to compensate for the loss of a forward who holds a Spanish passport. The club awaits the results of the medical evaluations to clarify when Deck might return to individual and group workouts under the coaching staff.
