FFTA opens club labeling and certification campaign for 2027-2028

The Fédération Française de Tir à l’Arc (FFTA) has officially opened its club labeling and certification campaign for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, setting structured benchmarks for association management, welcoming practitioners, and developing activities across French archery clubs. The labels and certifications are attributed for two years, and a renewal is possible after one year when a club rises in level or obtains the ETAF label.

FFTA Sets Campaign Deadlines for Winter 2026

The national governing body structured the administrative window across several key milestones leading into the winter of 2026. According to FFTA records, the official campaign opened on October 1, 2026, launching the digital intake period for clubs seeking official recognition.

Clubs face a strict cutoff on November 4, 2026, for requesting the validation of mandatory prerequisites. The final deadline for transmitting completed digital dossiers is set for November 18, 2026, as outlined by FFTA communications.

Espace Dirigeants Portal Automates Label Evaluation Process

The evaluation process operates entirely online through the Espace dirigeants portal within the dedicated labels module. This digital transition automates a portion of the evaluation and allows shared oversight between regional and departmental structuring and labeling referents.

Local coordinators serve as primary contacts to assist clubs with dossier assembly and quality improvements. Departmental referent Elisabeth Gérardin remains available to guide organizations through the criteria.

Clubs Must Meet Affiliation and Registration Prerequisites

To qualify for a label, clubs must maintain an up-to-date FFTA affiliation, register at least six licensed members and an executive board on the extranet, participate in departmental and regional general assemblies according to the campaign rules, and submit their latest general assembly report alongside their associative project. Additional guidance emphasizes that clubs must verify their practice locations, coaching rosters, and facility configurations within the portal before submitting. Before the opening, clubs are invited to check, complete, and update the information in their Espace dirigeant, and more particularly to declare instances and supervisors, update or complete practice locations, and delete duplicate or unused equipment. It is necessary to keep only fully completed equipment and ensure that the “Configuration” tab of each practice location is correctly filled out, as well as updating or completing the “Accueil” tab.

The framework includes four label levels: Espoir, Ambition, Excellence, and Élite. To obtain a label, a club must have validated the prerequisites, obtain at least one certification, and meet the criteria of four themes: Equipment, Supervision, Sport, and Youth, with the final level attributed corresponding to the lowest level reached among these four themes. The 2027 system notably provides U11, Competition, Parcours, Diversity, Animation/Discovery, Para-Archery, Citizen, and Archery on Prescription certifications, and the ETAF label also counts as a certification when attributed.

When the campaign window closes, the evaluation module transitions into a simulation mode. This feature remains active year-round, allowing clubs to measure their current operational capacity against national standards and identify areas for organizational growth ahead of future submission cycles, noting that the database underlying the evaluation is updated on September 1 of each year.
