Parco Centrale del Lago dell’Eur in Rome transforms into a large open-air sports village on Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25, hosting the free public initiative “Famiglie in Festa” from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
ASD Cast Sub Roma Organizes Free Wellness Programs
The weekend program is promoted by ASD Cast Sub Roma, backed by EUR SpA, and operates under the official patronage of Municipio IX and CONI Lazio. Organizers designed the event to bring free athletic activities and wellness programs directly to the public across twenty dedicated sports zones inside the Viale Africa park area (coordinates 41.8266448, 12.4680037).
Activities Across Twenty Sports Zones
Visitors can access roughly twenty distinct sports zones featuring climbing, soccer, volleyball, tennis, hockey, bocce, basketball, badminton, chess, and golf. The schedule also includes psychomotricity courses, martial arts, boxing, and archery sessions. For fitness enthusiasts, the Fitness and Wellness area offers balance training, Fit Boxe, and specific classes tailored for participants over the age of 65.
Additional features include the Doctorbike to School project, which hosts bicycle workshops and cycle mechanics training. Informational sessions are also running covering basic first aid, automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Accessibility and Environmental Sustainability Goals
ASD Cast Sub Roma structured the weekend around social inclusion, barrier reduction, and community building. Site planners established accessible pathways and dedicated support for visitors with disabilities throughout the park grounds. Operations rely on eco-friendly, reusable materials to meet environmental sustainability standards.

The free event runs across two consecutive days:
- Saturday, Oct. 24: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
