Duchess Meghan and Hollywood talent agency WME have ended their working relationship after an approximately three-month representation, according to agency head Ari Emanuel. Asked about the 45-year-old former actress’s future career plans during an interview with the Sunday Times, Emanuel offered a blunt and brief reply: “The good thing is that I don’t have to think about that anymore.”
Agency Departure Follows Brief Representation Window
Emanuel’s remark signals the conclusion of a short business association. WME had represented the Duchess of Sussex for roughly three months, during which time the agency assisted with select public projects. The split comes as industry observers speculate on a potential acting return and fresh entertainment ventures for the mother of two. Agency involvement previously extended to several public-facing endeavors undertaken since Meghan and Prince Harry stepped back from their roles as working members of the British royal family.
Meghan Considers Entertainment Roles Amid Industry Inquiries
Recent media reports linked Meghan to a prospective larger role in the upcoming season of the Guy Ritchie series The Gentlemen. However, subsequent updates clarified that she did not secure the part. A family friend told Hello Magazine that while industry interest exists, no definitive agreements are currently in place. “Lately there have been inquiries from the entertainment industry and things she is considering, but nothing is set yet. There are only conversations,” the family friend stated.
Meghan initially gained international prominence playing lawyer Rachel Zane in the legal drama series Suits, appearing across multiple seasons before stepping away from acting following her relationship with Prince Harry. The couple married in 2018 and later relocated outside Great Britain, focusing on independent media productions, including the Netflix documentary series Harry & Meghan and her subsequent lifestyle program, With Love, Meghan.
Future Entertainment Ventures Remain Open
Whether the Duchess of Sussex will return to scripted television or film work remains unconfirmed as industry discussions continue. While her professional slate includes varied media and lifestyle formats developed alongside Prince Harry, her short stint with WME has officially concluded, leaving Emanuel and the agency detached from any forthcoming career decisions.
