During the DTM season finale at the Hockenheimring in Germany, Land-Motorsport will field a Porsche 911 GT3 R #29 featuring a custom livery in the colors of the New England Patriots, as reported across motorsport coverage. The machine hits the track for two high-stakes races across the weekend, with Saturday’s opening round scheduled for 1:30 PM local time and Sunday’s race getting underway at 4:30 PM local time (UTC+2), followed immediately by the DTM Champions Celebration on track.
Bastian Buus pilots the Patriots Porsche at Hockenheim
Behind the wheel of the #29 Porsche 911 GT3 R is Danish driver Bastian Buus. Buus arrives at the Hockenheimring as the newly crowned champion of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup. Earlier this year in June, he also secured an overall victory at the prestigious 24 Hours of Spa, widely recognized as the world’s largest GT3 endurance race.
Team principal Christian Land addressed the upcoming weekend’s crossover appeal, noting the massive footprint of the American franchise. “We are very pleased about this cooperation with the New England Patriots and the strong new design for our Porsche,” Land stated ahead of the event. “The Patriots are one of the most popular NFL teams in Germany and therefore bring enormous appeal. Together, we want to expand the reach of both sports and utilize the synergies between the teams.”

Strategic partnership fuels the Road to Munich
The striking red and dark blue livery stems from an existing strategic alliance. For roughly a year, the six-time Super Bowl champions have maintained a formal partnership with the DTM. The appearance of the Land-Motorsport Porsche in official team colors serves as a high-profile on-track milestone for that collaboration.
Motorsport coverage notes that the Hockenheim activation directly supports the franchise’s broader German engagement tour, dubbed the “Road to Munich.” On Sunday, November 15, the organization is scheduled to face the Detroit Lions at the Allianz Arena. Leading up to that fixture, the franchise plans to use appearances like the DTM finale to connect with German fans through targeted promotional activities.

Franchise executives highlight shared athletic values
Alex Foster, Senior Manager International Business for the New England Patriots, expressed gratitude to the racing outfit for bringing the concept to life. “Seeing a Porsche in our colors at the DTM finale is also something very special for us. Thanks to Christian Land and his team for making this possible,” Foster remarked. He added that the Hockenheim weekend provides an ideal platform to engage sports enthusiasts who value speed, teamwork, and intensity.
For fans unable to attend the Hockenheimring in person, German free-to-air broadcaster ProSieben provides live television coverage of the entire racing action. Sunday afternoon’s later start time at 4:30 PM accommodates both the final championship race and the post-season celebrations that follow on the circuit asphalt.
