Djurgården talents feature for Swedish youth national teams in Spain

Fem spelare från Djurgården Fotboll har varit på plats i spanska Oliva Nova för att representera det svenska P17- och F17-landslaget i landskamper. The camp featured a mixed set of results across the board for the youth squads, highlighted by competitive matches against Uruguay, Poland, Belgium, and Puerto Rico.

P17 Four-Nation Tournament Campaign in Spain

The Swedish P17 national team experienced a mixed run of outcomes during their four-nation tournament fixtures in Oliva Nova. In their opening match against Uruguay, goalkeeper Elton Otto started between the posts, while Alexander Johansson entered as a substitute around the 60th minute. Sweden ultimately dropped that contest by a 1-2 scoreline.

Sweden rebounded strongly in their second fixture, securing a 4-1 victory over Poland. Alexander Johansson earned the start for this match and logged heavy minutes before being subbed off in the 82nd minute, contributing directly to the dominant win.

The P17 side concluded the tournament with a scoreless 0-0 draw against Belgium. Alexander Johansson once again featured in the starting lineup, this time wearing the captain’s armband. Elton Otto also saw action, stepping in after the halftime break to shut out the Belgian attack through the final whistle.

F17 Squad Dominates Puerto Rico in Opening Friendly

The Swedish F17 national team also traveled to Oliva Nova and opened their training camp with a commanding performance against Puerto Rico. Djurgården defender Denize Minas anchored the backline from the starting whistle, helping the team secure a clean sheet.

The Blue-Yellows eventually established a 2-0 advantage before manager adjustments introduced fresh legs with an hour played. Fellow Djurgården representatives Matilda Warne and goalkeeper Cava Lejonkula both stepped onto the pitch in the 60th minute to help preserve the victory.

F17 Squad Faces Puerto Rico on Saturday

The F17 squad will complete their training camp commitments with the second match of their doubleheader against Puerto Rico, scheduled for Saturday at 16:00 local time.
