Eighty-four teams have registered for the traditional sports competition hosted by the Ministry of Education and Training, which spans two phases in October and November 2026. The annual event brings together public employees, teachers, and school staff from across the province to compete in volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and pickleball.
Volleyball Opens Phase One at Phan Dinh Giot High School
Phase one of the competition features a volleyball tournament running from October 27 to October 31, 2026, at the multi-purpose hall of Phan Dinh Giot High School. Competition begins at 7:30 a.m. local time on opening day, with the closing ceremony and medal presentations scheduled for the afternoon of October 31, according to official provincial planning documents. This initial phase serves as the opening chapter for the educational sports gathering.
Rackets and Paddles Take Over Provincial Hall in November
Phase two expands the schedule to three distinct disciplines: badminton, table tennis, and pickleball. Competition runs from November 11 to November 15, 2026, at the Provincial Multi-Purpose Hall. Organizers scheduled the official opening ceremony for 7:30 a.m. on November 14, while the closing ceremony, event summary, and award distribution will take place at 4:00 p.m. on November 15. The Ministry of Education and Training also organized an expanded tournament format specifically for badminton, table tennis, and pickleball on November 14 and 15, drawing participation from local agencies, enterprises, and table tennis clubs across the entire province.
Participation Breakdown Across Municipalities and Units
The 84 competing squads represent a wide cross-section of the local institutional and educational framework. The roster includes 45 teams drawn from various communes and urban districts, 36 teams representing units operating directly under the ministry, two invited guest teams, and one dedicated referee squad. This broad turnout highlights the event’s role in connecting educational workers and strengthening physical education initiatives throughout the province’s schools and administrative offices.
