Former professional tennis player Diego “Peque” Schwartzman and model Eugenia De Martino announced they are expecting their first child, confirming the news through a joint social media post featuring a black-and-white family photoshoot. As reported by Clarín, the couple shared their upcoming arrival nearly a year after celebrating their wedding in October 2025.
A Family Announcement Featuring Black-and-White Portraits
The announcement showcased a series of monochrome photographs where Schwartzman gently touches De Martino’s baby bump. The couple, who began their relationship in 2019 with Ricky Sarkany acting as matchmaker, posed dressed in denim and white. The couple’s two dogs also participated in the studio session, which included ultrasound images and infant clothing. “Half yours, half mine, and the family we dreamed of so many times. We are going to be parents!” the couple stated in their shared Instagram post, according to TN.

De Martino reflected on capturing the milestone alongside their pets. “We still cannot believe that this very important moment of our lives has been saved like this, with our complete family, all five of us together,” she wrote in remarks corroborated by El Trece. De Martino also addressed Schwartzman directly, expressing her belief that he will excel in his new role as a father, adding, “Of all the things I imagined for my life, forming a family with you was always my dream.”
A Nod to Boca Juniors in the Baby Preparations
Among the items prepared for their daughter’s arrival, the couple displayed a miniature baby onesie bearing the phrase “Soy de Boca como mi papá” (“I am from Boca like my dad”). TN noted that Schwartzman has maintained a well-known fandom for the Buenos Aires football club throughout his public life. Schwartzman later shared the announcement across his Instagram stories, adding the caption: “Until we are old with someone else on the way. I love you forever. My family.”

From a Parisian Proposal to Family Life After Tennis
The couple previously married civilly on October 16, 2025, followed by a large celebration on October 28 at Dok Haras in Exaltación de la Cruz, Buenos Aires Province, attended by guests including Juan “Pico” Mónaco, Mónica Arnopoulos, Oriana Sabatini, Joaquín “Pollo” Álvarez, Nati Jota, and Grego Rosello. Prior to their wedding, Schwartzman proposed to De Martino on April 24, 2024, in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower ahead of Roland Garros.

The milestone arrives following Schwartzman’s retirement from professional tennis in February 2025, a career in which the Argentine athlete reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 8 on the ATP Tour.
