Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Ballogy Announce 60 Finalists for Second Annual Award
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and software platform Ballogy announced 60 Texas high school head coaches as finalists for the Game-Changing Coach Award, marking the second consecutive year the two organizations have partnered to recognize community leaders in high school athletics.
The program honors high school head coaches who go beyond standard athletic training to develop young student-athletes both on and off the field. This year’s group of 60 finalists follows the inaugural 2025 cycle, which saw Coach Jonathan Elliott of Irvin High School in El Paso selected by fans as the first Game-Changing Coach of the Year, earning a $5,000 prize for his program.
Coach Feedback Shapes Platform Development
According to the companies, the selection process and ongoing software updates stem directly from collaboration with high school coaches across Texas. During feedback sessions over the past year, coaches noted that while they could monitor live practice sessions, they lacked a comprehensive view of the independent training work athletes completed outside designated hours.

That input prompted Ballogy to expand its software capabilities into a holistic tracking system. For football programs, the platform now features the Move, Train, Recover framework to log skill work, physical activity, and rest intervals. It also incorporates more than 100 instructional football drills contributed by Division I and NFL players, alongside artificial intelligence tools designed to monitor weight room strength progression without manual spreadsheets.
Selection Timeline and Fan Voting Details
Rudy Klancnik, Vice President of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, stated that the annual list reflects the highest standards of Texas high school athletics. Todd Young, President and CEO of Ballogy, added that incorporating direct feedback from coaches allowed the platform to deliver professional-grade development tools to programs regardless of size or budget.
The ultimate winner of the 2026 Game-Changing Coach Award will be determined through public fan voting hosted on DaveCampbells.com. Voting results will be finalized and the winner announced in November, awarding the selected coach’s football program a $5,000 contribution.
