Lassaux started her tournament run in the Netherlands by defeating 16-year-old compatriot Léa Dauphinais in straight games, 21-14, 21-14. Dauphinais entered the main draw through the qualifying rounds with a 754th world ranking. The opening round victory set up a tougher test in the next phase of the competition for the seasoned Belgian competitor.
Securing an Upset Over Fourth Seed Pai Yu Po
Following her win over Dauphinais, Lassaux pulled off a notable victory by eliminating Taiwan’s Pai Yu Po. Pai held the tournament’s fourth seeding and sat 59th in the world rankings. Lassaux advanced past her higher-ranked opponent with a 21-16, 21-18 scoreline before meeting Kashyap in the next round.

Other Belgian contenders faced early exits at the Den Bosch venue. Noa Dauphinais, Léa’s 18-year-old sister ranked 933rd, also qualified for the main draw but fell in the opening round to Denmark’s Frederikke Ostergaard, 21-13, 21-4. In mixed doubles, the pairs formed by Jonah Quinten and Lieke Van Parys, Fae Boonen and Dutchman Gino Monopoli, alongside Baptiste Rolin and Tammi Van Wonterghem, all lost their opening matches, while Rolin and Van Wonterghem exited in the second round.

In women’s doubles, Tammi Van Wonterghem partnered with Dutch player Sterre Bang to defeat the duo of Fae Boonen and Lieke Van Parys in the first round before bowing out in the second. In the men’s bracket, brothers Iljo and Yaro Van Delsen were eliminated in their opening match of the tournament.
