The 33rd annual Festa d’Autunno in Borgoratto Mormorolo will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. local time, featuring traditional food, crafts, and folklore across the hills of the Oltrepò Pavese region, according to local event schedules.
Organized by the Pro Loco of Borgoratto Mormorolo, the annual festival draws visitors from the Pavia province, Milan, and surrounding communities for a day dedicated to rural traditions and seasonal regional cuisine.
Traditional Dishes and Regional Flavors
Food serves as a central element of the festival, anchored by traditional preparations from the Oltrepò Pavese countryside. Freshly cooked hot polenta will be served with a selection of traditional sauces. Alongside the polenta, vendors will offer the local specialty known as ‘schita’—a crisp, traditional frittella made from flour and water—alongside roasted chestnuts and other local products available throughout the village.
The culinary offerings reflect historical peasant recipes of the Pavia area, maintaining cooking methods passed down through generations in the local hills.

Village Attractions and Cultural Events
Throughout Sunday, the village will host markets featuring local crafts, traditional trades, and farm animals. The schedule includes folk music, traditional dancing, and street performers, alongside children’s activities such as historic wooden games, pony rides, archery, badminton, and taekwondo demonstrations.
Educational and cultural presentations round out the program, including a photographic exhibition, a calligraphy workshop involving students from Borgo Priolo, a traditional thanksgiving Mass for the harvest, and a scheduled conference titled “Restare è futuro” (Staying is the Future).
Parking and Transportation Details
Event organizers have designated the locality of Braglia as the primary parking area for visitors attending the Sunday event. A free shuttle bus service will operate continuously between Braglia and the center of Borgoratto Mormorolo until 6:30 p.m.
