Ben Shelton Qualifies for 2026 Nitto ATP Finals

American tennis player Ben Shelton has officially secured his qualification for the Nitto ATP Finals for the second year, ATP Tour reported. At 24 years old, the left-hander becomes the third singles player confirmed for the season-ending tournament in Turin, joining Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz.

The prestigious year-end event is scheduled to take place from November 15 to 22, 2026, at the Inalpi Arena. Shelton enters the tournament following a standout 2026 campaign that featured a 40-17 match record and his maiden appearance in a Grand Slam singles final at the US Open.

Building a Résumé of Four Titles in a Sensational 2026 Campaign

Shelton’s return to Turin is underpinned by a productive season that saw him capture four tour-level trophies. Only Sinner, who claimed six titles over the same stretch, secured a larger trophy haul on the ATP Tour in 2026.

Shelton successfully defended his title at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Montreal, added ATP 500 crowns in Munich and Dallas, and triumphed on the grass courts of Stuttgart. Following his run to the championship match at the major of his country, Shelton climbed to a career-high No. 4 in the PIF ATP Rankings.

The Field Takes Shape in Turin With Five Singles Places Still Open

With Shelton, Zverev, and Alcaraz locked into the singles draw, five singles berths remain open for the final weeks of the regular season. Last year, Shelton made his debut at the Inalpi Arena in Turin.

In the doubles competition, three pairs have officially punched their tickets to the year-end championships. Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten, Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos, and Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski have all secured their qualification spots for the event.
