Bazhong City Men’s Basketball League (Nanjiang Yellow Sheep Cup Sichuan ‘Yang’ BA) Registration Open

Registration is officially open for the sixth edition of the Bazhong City Urban and Community Men’s Basketball League, known locally as the Nanjiang Yellow Sheep Cup Sichuan “Yang” BA. The tournament is scheduled to tip off in November 2026, offering five-a-side competition for community squads, local organizations, and club teams across the region.

Eligibility and Roster Requirements for Competing Teams

Organizers have set strict residency and eligibility standards for players entering the 30-team tournament. Participants must hold Bazhong household registration or maintain long-term work, study, or residential ties within the city, verified through official documentation such as identity cards, household registers, social security records, or student status files. All registered athletes must be at least 18 years of age and in good health.

Teams can be formed by municipal and county government units, townships, sub-districts, enterprises, communities, and residential compounds. The total field is capped at 30 teams on a first-come, first-served registration basis. Each squad may list one team leader, one coach, and between 10 and 16 players, though coaches must lock in a 12-player active roster prior to each match.

Roster Restrictions and Foreign Player Rules

To maintain competitive balance across community entries, tournament rules limit the inclusion of elite regional players. Roster restrictions state that no more than three players who competed in the adult men’s basketball division of the 6th Bazhong Municipal Games may take the floor for any single team simultaneously during the preliminary stage.

Once a team advances past the group stage, rules permit clubs to add up to two external players holding Chinese citizenship as reinforcements. The competition adheres strictly to the latest official basketball rules issued by the International Basketball Federation and审定的 by the Chinese Basketball Association.

Product Prizes and Deposit Enforcement

Instead of cash payouts, tournament organizers structured the prize pool around regional agricultural products. The championship team will receive Nanjiang Yellow Sheep products valued at 5,000 yuan. The runner-up secures 3,000 yuan in yellow sheep products, while third and fourth place earn 2,000 yuan each. Teams finishing fifth through eighth will also receive 2,000 yuan worth of local agricultural goods.

Participating squads must post a 2,000-yuan security deposit during registration. Organizers deduct funds from the deposit for disciplinary infractions: 300 yuan for any technical or unsportsmanlike foul called against a player or coach, and 100 yuan per missing representative if fewer than 10 members of a team attend opening or closing ceremonies. Fighting, brawling, or walking off the court in protest results in the complete forfeiture of the deposit.

Submitting Offline Registration Materials by Deadline

All registration materials must be submitted offline before the deadline of 6:00 p.m. on October 31. Once submitted, registration entries cannot be altered or supplemented. Applicants must provide a stamped registration form, second-generation identity card photocopies for all roster members, proof of social security contributions or official school enrollment certificates, and proof of personal accident insurance covering transit and competition periods, alongside signed liability and fair-play commitment forms.

Electronic submissions should be sent to the tournament administrative email at [email protected], with inquiries directed to event contact Wu Teacher at 18583150325. Competition officials confirmed that registration files lacking mandatory insurance or disciplinary pledges will be rejected ahead of the November tournament launch.
