The fifth edition of the Bayman triathlon launched on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the foot of the Mont-Saint-Michel in the Manche department of France, featuring the grueling L and XXL races on opening day.
Dorian Muller and Juliette Delagarde Claim L Format Victories
Competitors in the L format tackled a 1.9-kilometer swim, a 90-kilometer bike ride, and a 21-kilometer half-marathon run. Dorian Muller secured the men’s title with a time of 3 hours, 56 minutes, and 37 seconds. Rémi Huens finished second in 3:59:09, followed by Corentin Jezequel in 4:02:38, Pierre Gouault in 4:03:23, and Oscar Costantin rounding out the top five in 4:03:26.
In the women’s L race, Juliette Delagarde crossed the finish line first in 4:41:59. Elisa Lemetayer took second in 4:52:55, Lisa Delagarde placed third in 4:54:46, Marie Mingam finished fourth in 4:56:56, and Annemarie Rustenburg of the Netherlands claimed fifth in 4:57:50.
Baptiste Delmas and Marine Dulau Lead the XXL Field
The XXL format pushed endurance athletes through a full Ironman-distance course consisting of a 3.8-kilometer swim, a 180-kilometer bike leg, and a 42.195-kilometer marathon. Baptiste Delmas won the men’s event in 8 hours, 30 minutes, and 51 seconds. Julien Liberge took second in 8:54:53, Romain De Crouy placed third in 9:02:54, Tanguy Tirel finished fourth in 9:13:13, and Florian Mougeot took fifth in 9:15:13.
Marine Dulau won the women’s XXL competition with a time of 10:29:46. Anaïs Faveris finished second in 10:46:38, Karen Maerivoet placed third in 11:12:15, Sarah Van Grieken took fourth in 11:19:09, and Helen Bridgman finished fifth in 11:24:45.
Sunday Schedule Features the M Format
While the L and XXL fields completed their races on Saturday—with the XXL competitors starting at 7:45 a.m. local time and the L athletes following at 10:15 a.m.—the weekend competition concludes on Sunday with the shorter M format triathlon.
