PalaStadio di Soresina came alive as Basket Team 1995 and Pallacanestro Pizzighettone united to present their entire youth sector and minibasket movement. Held on Saturday, October 3, the celebration brought together young athletes, families, and fans on the parquet floor right after the senior team secured a victory against PlayBasket Carrè.
Youth Movement Unites at PalaStadio
The presentation showcased more than 300 tesserati, uniting directors, coaches, instructors, and players under one roof. Speaker Giancarlo Bissolotti and press officer Mauro Taino hosted the evening’s proceedings, introducing the key architects of the youth program. Dino Albertoni, coordinator of youth activities, opened the formal welcomes before technical director Luca Baroni and minibasket lead Davide “Buddy” Giovanetti took the floor. The leadership group also features supervision from Giovanni Baiardo alongside athletic trainers Giuliano Garini and Alberto Spotti, as detailed by sportgrigiorosso.it.
Parade of the Riverside Teams and Collaborations
A full parade of the club’s various squads highlighted the breadth of the local basketball pipeline. Teams representing the joint effort marched across the floor, including the Under 19 Mazzoleni, Under 19 A&F Idraulica, Under 17 Emmecril, Under 17 Veneroni, Under 15 Gigawatt, Under 14 Latteria Pizzighettone, Under 14 ACL, Under 13 GS4, Esordienti, Divisione Regionale 3, and the Happy Team, which stands as a symbol of the club’s dedication to athletic inclusion.
The program also highlighted extensive minibasket operations anchored in Pizzighettone, Maleo, San Bassano, and Trigolo. The initiative also incorporates the Pink Zerosei women's teams—a project run by Soresinese Basket 06 in partnership with Pallacanestro Pizzighettone to broaden opportunities for young female athletes across the region.
Territorial Partnerships and Senior Finale
The collective project extends its reach through formal collaborations with neighboring clubs, including Soresinese 06, Polisportiva Oratorio Castelleone, and Frassati di Castiglione d’Adda.
The evening culminated when the senior squad, Mazzoleni Pizzighettone—competing in the Serie B Interregionale championship—stepped onto the parquet to an enthusiastic ovation from the assembled crowd. The club closed the event by thanking the sponsors who back the blue-and-white project and the numerous volunteers whose ongoing efforts keep the local basketball community thriving.
