Badminton Club Noyalais Resumes Women-Only Leisure Sessions

A women-only leisure badminton program in Noyal-Pontivy has returned for a new season, welcoming participants to weekly sessions designed for recreational play rather than competitive training. The Badminton Club Noyalais runs the initiative every Monday evening at the Excalibur hall inside the Noal Sports complex.

Return of the Women-Only Leisure Badminton Season

The 100% women’s leisure badminton schedule resumed on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, as reported by Le Télégramme. Originally launched in 2022, the program was created to boost female participation within the club’s membership ranks and to attract players who could potentially round out teams competing in inter-club events. Despite that initial objective, the sessions have evolved into a strictly recreational outlet.

Program Structure and Participation Details

Bruno Collin, the organizer behind the initiative, leads the weekly practices. A dozen participants signed up at the start of the season for the active yet playful sessions, which run every Monday from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. local time (UTC+2). According to Collin, none of the participants have opted to transition into the club’s other training courses since the program began.

Since the launch, none has wished to integrate the other classes, Collin said, noting that attendees appreciate the atmosphere and seek neither competition nor intensive training. Several have been loyal since the beginning, and we are welcoming four new recruits this season. There are still places available, and women who wish to come and try are welcome.
