Badminton Club Lieshout Kicks Off New Season with Probeerbadminton and Upcoming Senior Tournament

Badminton Club Lieshout has scheduled its upcoming senior Oktobertoernooi for Wednesday, October 14, following a busy autumn slate of introductory sessions and league fixtures, MooiLaarbeek reported.

Autumn Schedule and Senior Oktobertoernooi Details

The club’s internal senior tournament will run from 20:15 to 21:45 local time at the venue, featuring doubles matches determined entirely by random draw (aselecte loting), according to the club’s official announcement. MooiLaarbeek noted that the event arrives as part of a packed autumn calendar for the organization, which recently hosted Rabobank inloopdagen on September 16 and 23 alongside a welcome morning on September 13. Furthermore, the nationwide “probeerbadminton” (trial badminton) initiative launched its first match day on Wednesday, September 30, as detailed by Badminton Club Lieshout.

League Competition and Team Classifications

Alongside recreational and trial events, Badminton Club Lieshout fields two competitive teams whose seasons run from September through February. Omroeppeelrand reported that the senior squad is a men’s team competing in the “Mannen-2 klasse” (Men’s Class 2) using feather shuttles, where they are placed in Division 6. Meanwhile, the youth representative side competes in the “D-categorie” (D-category) and holds a placement in Division 25.

Fall School Holiday Training Adjustments

Training schedules diverge significantly when school holidays begin. The week following the senior tournament marks the start of the autumn break, during which youth training sessions are suspended entirely, matching policies for the Christmas and spring school holidays. However, adult members face no such interruptions; senior players remain unbound by the academic calendar and will continue their regular play and training schedule through the holiday weeks, as confirmed by Badminton Club Lieshout.
