Arsenal will not rush to sell Eberechi Eze, Keith Wyness says

Arsenal will not rush to sell midfielder Eberechi Eze and intends to give the England international time to recover his best form at Emirates Stadium, former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness said.

Eze Scores in Consecutive Champions League Matches Amid Limited Premier League Minutes

Eberechi Eze scored in Arsenal’s 2 to 2 draw against Bayern Munich, marking his second goal in Champions League play. The 28-year-old midfielder found the net during a demanding European fixture, offering a glimpse of resurgence after a difficult start to life in north London. Despite his impact in Europe, Eze has logged just 130 minutes of playing time in the Premier League this season following his 70 million pound transfer from Crystal Palace last summer.

Wyness Says Arsenal Will Not Cash Out at a Loss

Speaking on an episode of the Football Insider Inside Track podcast, Keith Wyness stated that Arsenal hierarchy has no immediate plans to offload the playmaker. Wyness, who served as Everton CEO from 2004 to 2009 and currently runs a football consultancy for elite clubs, asserted that the club will not seek to take a financial hit on the player’s value right now. “I don’t think so,” Wyness said when asked about a potential sale. “I think they are not going to look to take a loss or cash in on his value at the moment.”

Arteta Credited With Managing Player Recovery

Wyness suggested that Eze may have been dealing with underlying issues since his arrival from Crystal Palace, where he contributed 26 goal involvements in his final campaign. The former executive pointed to potential physical or psychological hurdles but backed manager Mikel Arteta to resolve the situation through player management. “He’s a talented player, there are obviously things going on—whether it’s fitness or mental—and he needs time to get back to his best,” Wyness added. “Mikel will certainly have a conversation with him, I am sure of that, and with his man-management skills, he will understand what the issues are. They will give him time, and any decisions on his future will be made at the end of the season.”

Scouting Links to Brighton Forward Haralambos Kostouras

As Arsenal manages its current squad dynamics, the club is also monitoring attacking reinforcements. Former Tottenham Hotspur scout Brian Kain reported that Arsenal has stationed scouts at the Amex Stadium to observe Brighton forward Haralambos Kostouras. The 19-year-old Greece international joined Brighton from Olympiacos in 2025 and has recorded three goals and two assists across his first seven league appearances this term, drawing attention as a potential long-term solution to the club’s ongoing search for a prolific forward.
