Pallacanestro Sennori president Alessio Tedde admitted he did not expect his team to win their opening two matches on the road, calling the strong start a source of immense pride as the club prepares for its upcoming home debut.
Opening Two Away Victories Exceed Early Expectations
Pallacanestro Sennori opened their campaign with two victories away from home. Speaking during the team presentation ahead of their first home fixture, Tedde addressed the surprising start. “We didn’t expect it,” Tedde said. “It was desired, but starting with two away victories is something that fills us with pride, and I would be crazy to say we expected it.”
Home Fortress Aims at Sorso Venue
While the club and administration hope to return to Sennori, the team will play their upcoming home matches in Sorso. “Winning three out of three would be ideal,” Tedde said. “Our hope was to return to Sennori, as was the administration’s. We are still waiting for the next home game. We are happy to be in Sorso. We will do our utmost to ensure that the home games become our fortress.”
Fan Support and Superstitious Silence on Bonuses
Reflecting on last season’s first half, Tedde credited the club’s supporters for reacting well with numbers and warmth. When asked about potential incentives or bonuses for securing a third victory, the president maintained a strict policy of silence. “I won’t say anything,” Tedde said. “And I won’t even say if there will be a prize. We are very superstitious on this line.”
