Thirteen Medals Won by Salta Delegation at Copa Alvear in Tucumán

Thirteen medals return to Salta after a dominant showing by provincial judokas at the fourth edition of the Copa Alvear tournament in San Miguel de Tucumán. Every single athlete from the Salta delegation who competed in the interprovincial and interclub event secured a podium finish, according to regional sports reports.

The competition brought together more than 700 judokas from across northern Argentina and other provinces at the Complejo General Manuel Belgrano. The tournament stands as a major fixture on the NOA region calendar, drawing regular delegations from Jujuy, Catamarca, and Santiago del Estero alongside local squads.

Gold Medals Secured Across Divisions in San Miguel de Tucumán

Salta’s champions claimed eight first-place finishes across multiple weight classes and age brackets. Jazmín Colam captured the Pre Promo -31kg division title, while Ámbar Acosta took gold in the Juveniles Sub 13 -52kg category.

Additional gold medals went to Candelaria Levin in Juveniles Sub 15 -40kg, Oriana Castelli in Juveniles Sub 15 -63kg, and Ian Enriquez in Juveniles Sub 15 -50kg. Rounding out the champions were Ernestina Levin in Cadetes Graduados -63kg, Augusto Palavecino in Cadetes Graduados -50kg, and Martina Flores in Kiu Novicios -48kg.

Silver and Bronze Podiums Complete the Count

Diego Azarevich added a silver medal for Salta in the Juveniles Sub 15 -73kg division. Three additional athletes earned bronze medals to complete the delegation’s 13-podium sweep.

Those bronze finishes came from Camilo Burgos in Juveniles Sub 15 -73kg and Farid Nasser in Cadetes Graduados. Following the conclusion of the tournament, the Salta Judo Federation acknowledged the contributions of national referees Alejandro Levin and Juan José Castelli, alongside technical directors Sandro Palavecino and Del Pin Mirko.
