Toni Roig placed Ibiza firmly on the international archery map by securing finishes among the top twenty at the 2026 World Field Archery Championships in Yankton, United States. Competing against 244 athletes from 31 countries under the organization of World Archery, the arquero from the Club S’Arc d’Eivissa represented the Spanish national team in both individual and team events from September 22 to 27.
In the Men’s Recurve individual classification, Roig delivered a notable performance to finish in 19th position, competing against top global specialists at the highest level of international competition. He described his participation as a nueva experiencia al máximo nivel
while defending the colors of Spain.
Team Success in Yankton
Beyond his individual result, Roig made a strong impact in the team modalities. In Mixed Recurve, he teamed up with Iria de la Fuente to achieve a ninth-place world finish, accumulating a total of 1,286 points.
Roig additionally joined forces with fellow Balearic archer César Vera and José Manuel Prieto to form the Spanish Men’s Field team. The national squad completed the qualifying phase with 4,831 points, securing a prominent eighth-place finish in the World Field Archery Championships.
Pride for Ibiza and Club S’Arc d’Eivissa
