Odell Beckham Jr.’s second stint with the New York Giants has ended after just three games. The 33-year-old wide receiver, who originally joined the franchise as a first-round draft pick in 2014, was released by the team following a brief return that yielded zero receptions and only a single target.
A Short-Lived Reunion in East Rutherford
The veteran pass catcher logged just 19 offensive snaps across his three appearances after signing a contract with the organization in June. That reunion failed to produce the production or playing time anticipated when the Giants brought him back to the roster following a missed 2025 season.
When the team initially drafted him out of LSU, Beckham quickly became one of the most explosive players in the NFL. During his 2014 rookie campaign, he hauled in 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in only 12 games, earning the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Career Arc and Statistical Standing
Following his stellar initial five-season run in New York through 2018, Beckham’s career journey took him through several stops across the league. He played for the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and Miami Dolphins before making his way back to MetLife Stadium.
Despite the abrupt end to his latest chapter with the Giants, Beckham leaves behind a substantial career body of work. Across 122 regular-season games in the NFL, he has accumulated 575 receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns.
