Two Decades of Digital Partnership at the China Open

The 2026 tournament marks a significant milestone for Lenovo’s ThinkPad brand, which is celebrating twenty years of partnership with the Beijing-based tournament. Since 2006, ThinkPad has supplied IT equipment to establish the competition’s digital foundation. For the current tournament, the brand has deployed two primary technological solutions: a digital human customer service assistant and an intelligent memory system designed for tournament volunteers.

Visitors and staff utilize the digital assistant to query match schedules, player information, and venue directions. Meanwhile, the volunteer system helps streamline onboarding and capability training for tournament staff, improving on-site efficiency across the grounds.

Exhibiting Local Heterogeneous Computing and Edge AI

Adjacent to the tennis courts, the ThinkPad exhibition space offers fans a hands-on look at AI integration in consumer hardware. Visitors can test flagship laptops equipped with local heterogeneous computing power, experiencing features such as the Tianxi AI 4.3 super mode, automated meeting notes, real-time translation tools, and visual recognition software. Fans can also interact with a giant commemorative “Little Black” ThinkPad mascot on-site or explore a virtual reality exhibition online.

Zhang Hao highlighted the alignment between the brand’s core values and professional athletics. “Lenovo ThinkPad’s brand traits of technological innovation, craftsmanship, and superior experience strongly resonate with the perseverance and unyielding spirit of tennis competition,” Zhang stated at the gathering.
