The trade union branch of the Cooperative Bank in Ho Chi Minh City partnered with local People’s Credit Funds to host a major athletic competition designed to strengthen institutional bonds and push toward corporate targets for 2026.

Organizers structured the athletic program to foster a competitive spirit among staff members, union delegates, and institutional leaders. Beyond physical training, the gathering served as a collaborative hub where personnel from various credit units exchanged operational experiences and coordinated strategies for the upcoming year.

Financial Growth and Asset Strength Across Ho Chi Minh City

Statistical data released for the sector show that the 18 People’s Credit Funds operating across Ho Chi Minh City served a total of 25,249 members as of August 2026. This membership base grew by 677 participants—representing a 2.76 percent increase—compared to the close of 2025.

Total capital across the 18 participating funds surpassed 2,127 billion VND. Within that total, deposits from private individuals and economic organizations accounted for nearly 1.732 billion VND, while outstanding loans exceeded 1.628 billion VND. Leadership figures emphasized that maintaining rigorous credit quality remains a top priority alongside capital fortification and workforce cohesion.
