Head coach Kang Hyuk emphasized that the team’s preparations focused directly on correcting the defensive lapses and rebounding deficits that hampered them during the previous campaign. Sustaining intensity on the glass remains a non-negotiable metric for the coaching staff as they finalize rotations.
Kim Min-gyu Targets Sharpened Shooting and Grit
“Our team emphasizes rebounding and defense, and my goal is to execute those areas without mistakes while raising my three-point shooting accuracy to contribute heavily,” forward Kim Min-gyu said during team media availability.
Import Additions Ra Guna and Aluma Bring Veteran Edge
Roster adjustments add intrigue to Daegu’s outlook, particularly with the league-wide expansion of foreign player utilization rules. The Pegasus welcome veteran center Ricardo Ratliffe—known in Korea as Ra Guna—alongside forward Keve Aluma. Both imports have gelled quickly during the preseason schedule and share a singular focus on lifting the club into the spring playoffs.
“Last season didn’t go well for us, so this year we are working our hardest, staying focused, and making the playoffs our primary goal before looking at anything beyond that,” Ra Guna said.
Aluma echoed that sentiment, pointing to his prior experience in the KBL and the importance of supporters filling the arena. “I want to lead the team to the playoffs just like before, and to do that, we need the fans’ energy,” Aluma said.

The Pegasus tip off their schedule on October 3 with an away match against the Goyang Sono Skygunners. Daegu’s home opener follows on Monday, October 5, at the Daegu Gymnasium, giving local fans their first look at the redesigned roster under competitive lights.
