10th Copa Nadia ITF Women’s Tennis Tour to be Presented in Seville

Provincial Leaders and Tennis Officials to Gather for Seville Presentation

Local authorities, sports federation executives, and tournament organizers are scheduled to assemble at the Provincial Council headquarters located at Avenida de Menéndez Pelayo, 32. Javier Fernández de los Ríos, president of the Provincial Council of Seville, and Casimiro Fernández, the provincial deputy for culture, will take part in the launch ceremony alongside representatives from the Andalusian Tennis Federation, the Seville City Council, and the Regional Government of Andalusia.

The presentation event will be hosted by Álvaro Luna and will feature the screening of two promotional videos for the tournament. Organizers have also arranged a dedicated conversational segment between Mercedes Gordillo, mother of Nadia Mechaala, and María Ángeles Bizcocho, vice president of the Andalusian Tennis Federation. The discussion will focus on Mechaala and the origin and motive of the tournament. Additional remarks will be delivered by Estrella Cabeza, Lorena Solar, and tournament director Juan Arispón Gil. A group photo with media photographers is scheduled immediately following the ceremony.

ITF W35 Clay Court Competition at Centro de Tecnificación ‘Blas Infante’

As part of the international ITF World Tennis Tour calendar, the tournament holds a W35 professional category classification. Matches will be contested on clay courts at the Centro de Tecnificación de Tenis ‘Blas Infante’ in Seville. The event draws professional women tennis players representing multiple countries to compete on the Andalusian clay.

The competition remains deeply linked to the legacy of Nadia Mechaala, whose memory provides the historical identity and starting point for the tournament.
