Jokić finished with a dominant stat line of 31 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists. With Thursday’s performance, Jokić has reached 1000 points, 600 rebounds, and 500 assists in his first 50 games of the regular season, a feat he also accomplished last season. He has now recorded 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists in 10 games – a milestone previously achieved only six times in NBA history.

Averaging 28.7 points, 12.7 rebounds (leading the league in that category), and 10.4 assists (also leading the league, and as a center, no less) per game, Nikola Jokić remains a strong contender for the MVP award. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the clear favorite, and Jokić’s absence from one game already puts him at a disadvantage in the voting.
