Lavoûte-sur-Loire, France – The Ecoplume de l’Emblavez badminton tournament began Saturday with the doubles mixed competition at the Lavoûte-sur-Loire gymnasium. The tournament, a popular fixture on the regional calendar, saw 60 teams compete throughout the day, utilizing five courts to accommodate the high level of interest. Organizers confirmed the event was fully booked by the end of December.
The tournament continues Sunday with the doubles events for men and women. This year’s competition also features a notable participant in François Nalborczyk, a parabadminton athlete who recently earned a medal at the French Parabadminton Championships. Nalborczyk, who has been with the Badminton Club Emblavez for a year after relocating from Thonon-les-Bains, partnered with Auroure Treille in the mixed doubles event.
