John Textor expressed himself on his social networks on Tuesday night (3/2) when commenting on an article by FogãoNET which reflected information from journalist Bernardo Gentile, from “Arena Alvinegra”, about the support of the Botafogo association for the contribution promised by the North American.
Textor praised the social club’s leaders, stating that they “understand the complex structure very well” of the operation that promises to lead to Botafogo around US$50 million, with US$28 million as of Thursday.
“Nonsense. Reveal your source, because you are being manipulated. The social club leadership I know is extremely sophisticated and understands this complex structure very well, aiming to protect the club“, wrote Textor in Instagram.
According to Gentile, the association did not necessarily agree with all the terms of the contribution, but decided not to veto it, as it does not have another alternative to resolve Botafogo’s most urgent problems, such as the transfer ban.
According to the journalist, Glorioso outlines a solution to avoid having to pay the high interest rates expected on this contribution – John Textor has been maintaining that the new investors could become partner shareholders and would also become creditors of Ares.
