This is the official statement from the Italian champions: “Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna communicates that Alessandro Pajola, following prolonged pain and functional limitation in the left knee, was subjected to further specific investigations which have revealed a lesion to the external meniscus. The player will consequently undergo surgery in the next few days. Recovery times will be defined following the surgery.” Without him, Virtus loses its best defender on the perimeter and soul of the team on the pitch: Luca Vildoza, Daniel Hackett, Carsen Edwards e Matt Morgan they will have to make up for the captain’s absence during his rehabilitation period.
