Forcé, France – The US Forcé Omnisports club recently wrapped up a three-day multi-sport stage designed to introduce children in the community to athletic disciplines outside of their usual routines. From February 25th to 27th, approximately a dozen young athletes, primarily boys, participated in the program, gaining experience in badminton, table tennis, basketball, and football.
The initiative, spearheaded by Cameron Drouard, a BPJEPS (Brevet Professionnel de la Jeunesse, de l’Éducation Populaire et du Sport) trainee within the club, and assisted by Alan Ménager, fulfilling a civic service role, aimed to spark a passion for sports and foster a sense of community. The stage ran daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and included a shared lunchtime, which organizers noted was a valuable opportunity for the children to connect and build camaraderie.
“Sport is essential for children. It allows them to create bonds and get to realize each other better,” Drouard emphasized, highlighting the broader benefits of participation beyond simply learning novel skills. The program benefited from favorable weather conditions, allowing for some football sessions to be held outdoors.
The US Forcé Omnisports, a key sporting organization in the Forcé commune, has a clear focus on youth development. The club’s efforts extend beyond simply offering instruction; they actively work to connect children with opportunities to continue participating in the sports they enjoy after the stage concludes. Drouard, who is also involved with other local sports associations, is facilitating this transition, ensuring that interested children can find a pathway to continued involvement.
This initiative reflects a growing trend in youth sports, where multi-sport participation is increasingly recognized for its benefits. Exposure to a variety of athletic activities can enhance overall athletic development, improve coordination, and reduce the risk of burnout associated with specializing in a single sport at a young age. For the children of Forcé, this stage provided a valuable introduction to possibilities they might not have otherwise explored.
The success of the stage is a testament to the dedication of the organizers and the enthusiasm of the participants. The US Forcé Omnisports’ commitment to providing accessible sporting opportunities for local youth is clearly bearing fruit, fostering a new generation of athletes and sports enthusiasts within the community. The club’s Facebook page (Us Forcé foot) and Instagram account (@usforcefootball) provide further insight into the club’s activities and its role within the Forcé area.
The US Forcé football team currently competes in the D1 league, under the guidance of Sylvain Bohers, as noted on their Facebook page. The club also fields teams in D3, Veteran, and Futsal divisions, demonstrating a broad range of offerings for players of all ages and skill levels.
Looking ahead, the US Forcé Omnisports will continue to monitor the progress of the children who participated in the stage, providing support and encouragement as they explore their newfound interests. The club’s ongoing commitment to youth development promises to have a lasting impact on the sporting landscape of Forcé and beyond.
The next scheduled event for the US Forcé football team is currently unconfirmed, but updates will be posted on their official social media channels. Fans and community members are encouraged to follow the club’s Facebook and Instagram pages for the latest news and information.
