We have seen some surprising record breakers, but this one has had its little effect. Trey Murphy III is in his fifth season in the NBA, he has missed more than a third of the games since the start of his career and yet, he is already the best 3-point scorer in Pelicans history!
By scoring a 693rd 3-point basket under the tunic of the New Orleans Pelicans, Trey Murphy III became, last night, against the Heat, the shooter behind the most prolific arc in the history of his franchise. He overtook CJ McCollum in the rankings.

The winger is loved by all NBA fans. Everyone is aware of his immense quality and many would like to have him back in their franchises. However, it is very surprising to see him hold such a record.
He only played 5 seasons in the NBA, only exceeding 62 games played once. He only takes 2.4 shots from distance per game and only shoots 38.3% during the exercise. In short, this accomplishment also says a lot about the debut in the Big League of the New Orleans franchise.
It’s hard to know if Trey Murphy III will still be here in two months, but if so, he will have the opportunity to protect his record with many more strings remaining!
