Prabowo & Zidane Chat: Teddy Reveals All

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya revealed the contents of the meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and football legend Zinedine Zidane in Switzerland, last Friday (23/1/2026).

Teddy revealed that Prabowo met Zidane after conveying the concept of Prabowonomics to the world through the World Economic Forum.

“After presenting the concept of Prabowonomics at the World Economic Forum, President Prabowo held a meeting with the famous French football legend and coach, Zinedine Zidane,” said Teddy in the Cabinet Secretariat account, Sunday (25/1/2026).

Teddy said that Prabowo and Zidane met for 45 minutes.

When meeting Zidane, Prabowo expressed his desire to advance the Indonesian national team.

“In the approximately 45 minute meeting, President Prabowo expressed his great desire to continue to advance Indonesian football and the National Team,” said Teddy.

“And the plan is that every new school must have a football field that can be used for practice by school students and children around the school,” he added.

Apart from that, said Teddy, Prabowo also asked for input from Zidane to advance Indonesian football.

“President Prabowo also asked maestro Zidane for his input and suggestions regarding the development of national football,” he said.

Prabowo meets Zidane

Previously, Prabowo had uploaded the moment of his meeting with Zidane in Switzerland via his personal Instagram account, @Prabowo, last Friday (23/1/2026).

“Today on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum I met and discussed with world football legend Zinédine @Zidane who was also with his son Theo Zidane,” said Prabowo, Friday.

Judging from the uploaded photo, Prabowo was accompanied by his only son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo or better known as Didit.

The four of them took a selfie together where Didit held his cell phone to capture the moment.
