Sport

TROUSERS Langbroek is preparing for a sporty newcomer: pickleball. This fast-growing sport, which combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis, is accessible, dynamic and, above all, great fun. On Friday, January 23, interested parties can experience this for themselves during a free pickleball clinic in Langbroek, says Corina van Beusekom from the organization.

“Pickleball is an accessible and surprisingly fun sport that is suitable for all ages and levels. The game is quick to learn, not too heavy for the body and ideal for people who want to get moving (again).

What makes pickleball extra fun is its social character. You often play together, laugh a lot and are very active. The pace, tactics and fun ensure that everyone can quickly participate and become enthusiastic.”

LOCAL ON THE MAP

The Pickleball Langbroek initiative is made possible by WE Tennis and Kerngroep Wijk Gezond, who are committed to an active and healthy living environment. Thanks to their support, this new sport will also have the opportunity to grow in Langbroek. Elin van Santen and Paul Jongmans are enthusiastically committed to putting pickleball on the map locally and getting new target groups moving.

After the clinic it does not stop at just one introduction. From January 30, 2025, there will be a pickleball evening every Friday evening from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Participation costs 5 euros per evening and all materials are provided. You can register for the clinic via activities@tvlangbroek.nl or via the QR code on the poster.

“Pickleball is sports, meeting and having fun at the same time and TVLangbroek is ready to receive you! Got excited? We look forward to seeing you from January 23.”
