Raised in the Vercelli Baseball nursery, the class of 2009 was able to shine on a national and international level. His performances with the Italian youth team attracted the attention of MLB scouts. Now the path opens up for Silva in the Minor Leagues, with the aim of continuing to grow and dream of the big stage.
Born in 2009, Silva grew up sportingly in Baseball Vercelli and he always wore the shirt ofItalia in the various selections of which he was part and in which he always shone. He is the eighth Italian currently to be part of an American organization after Nicolò Pinazzi (Los Angeles Angels), Matteo Marelli (New York Mets), Giacomo Taschin (Toronto Blue Jays), Filippo Sabatini (Philadelphia Phillies), Williams Wong (Texas Rangers), Alessandro Ercolani (Pittsburgh Pirates) e Samuel Aldegheri (Los Angeles Angels).
Gold medal at the European Championships 2019 and 2021 withUnder 12 and silver in 2023 with theUnder 15Silva stood out thanks to the excellent World disputed in 2024 in Colombiawhere he was named the event’s top first baseman with a .481 batting average and seven runs batted in. Also in the same year came the debut in Serie A with Settimo Torinese, while in 2025 came the new call-up from the Italian national team to Under 18 World Cup in Okinawain Japan.
