Starting today, fans of the best basketball league in the world can recreate their idols’ dunks or compare their shoe size with Dirk Nowitzki’s in the NBA House before the game with the Wagner brothers in Berlin. The crowd at the opening of the house at midday in the Uber Eats Music Hall was still limited given the severe winter weather in the capital. The league is expecting 5,000 visitors per day up to and including Sunday. Appearances from ex-NBA players such as Dwight Howard and Jason Williams are planned.

Free tickets are available on the website for the first regular season game in Germany. On Thursday (8 p.m./Amazon Prime), the Orlando Magic and the German national players Franz and Moritz Wagner as well as Tristan da Silva will meet the Memphis Grizzlies in the Uber Arena.

There are various promotions in the NBA House. Fans can recreate dunks on a lower-hanging basket and take a photo as a souvenir. Pictures with the original trophy for the NBA champion are also possible. Discounts for the local NBA shop can be won at other basketball games. There is also an NBA half court where, according to the league, teams from the region are also allowed to play.

The game will also be shown at Uber Eats Music Hall for fans without a ticket. German rapper Luciano will perform in the halftime show, the league announced. In addition, singer-songwriter and winner of “The Voice of Germany” 2023, Malou Lovis, will sing the German national anthem before the game. Melody Thornton performs the US anthem.
