After Italian international hopeful winger Luca Koleosho (Burnley), Paris FC will register a second recruit from the Premier League. In discussions for a fortnight with Wolverhampton, the promoted Parisian reached an agreement this Wednesday for the loan (without purchase option) of midfielder Marshall Munetsi (29 years old).
The Zimbabwean international, who has played 13 matches in the Premier League this season, was not called up for the CAN. For two months, he no longer fit into the plans of the new coach of Wolverhampton, bottom of the league. He was sold to the English club for 18 million euros by Reims in February 2025.
Present on Sunday in Nantes?
With Marshall Munetsi, Paris FC is therefore recovering an experienced player who knows Ligue 1 well. In five and a half seasons with Reims, he played 148 L1 matches for 21 goals and 14 assists. He also corresponds to the box to box profile sought by Stéphane Gilli: powerful, athletic and capable of projecting himself forward.
Unless the situation changes (there are still documents to be exchanged between the two clubs), Marshall Munetsi will arrive in Paris this Thursday to undergo his medical examination. If all goes well, he should sign quickly, which should allow him to qualify for the match in Nantes on Sunday. Nantes was also one of the clubs which negotiated with Wolverhampton for its loan. But Paris FC was more convincing.
